About a month ago family prayer was not the quiet peaceful experience we as parents hoped for. Every time Chris would call on Ethan he would start yelling and screaming and thrashing about refusing. We were like 'o.k. buddy calm down you don't have to have a turn'. Then about two weeks ago something happened he went from never wanting a turn to wanting to say EVERY prayer and getting just as mad if he didn't get to say it. Plus before he wouldn't say it without help and now he doesn't want any help and gives the most sincere heartfelt prayers. He says things we never would have prompted him to say. He often adds in something interesting as well, such as yesterday at breakfast he blessed the food that it would make us healthy and strong like Tarzan.
As a mother the only thing we can expect is .....the unexpected.
