The boys were invited to a "costume encouraged" pirate birthday party, complete with a treasure hunt, spyglasses, and the most amazing piñata ever.
Zach was number ten of about 30 kids to take a crack at it.
Carlos, the birthday boy seen above right, was super sweet to Zach and Ethan. Our stuff had not yet arrived so they went without pirate costumes. They were a bit sad and Carlos quickly removed parts of his costume so they could each have something to wear.
This piñata was so tough that even the older siblings attending got a turn. With more than 30 children the anticipation for this to open was intense. In the end the parents had to rip it apart from the few small openings that had been made.
It was mayhem!
These pirates took home some serious booty! I have never seen a gift pile that big before.
