The Best In The Nation

When something claims to be THE BEST IN THE NATION I always wonder who voted, when was the polling, and who had enough experience at different facilities around the nation to know this is the best?

In the last three years our family has visited 4 different Children Museums in Denver, Anchorage, LA, and now Houston and they were all amazing and the kids have loved them all.
As much as we like keeping Ethan burning off energy climbing the giant netting system it was fun to let the boys out to explore Kid Town.
This is where little kids get to pretend they are grown ups by getting money from the ATM, biking to work,

running a bank,
and shopping and working at a grocery store. You know, all those adult places that usually drive us crazy taking our children, suddenly became fun when they were allowed to make the rules and touch all the buttons, gizmos, and gears.
But that wasn't all....
there were places to get your groove on,
and places to plan a balanced meal.
Places to use all your muscles without hurting anyone while simultaneously learning scientific principles.
We built stomp rockets....

and ball mazes and

and raced Lego cars until...

we were too famished to continue. OK Zach and Ethan really could have cared less about food but Mom and Dad were hungry so we had to pull them away.

Was it the best in the Nation? Probably! We didn't even make it through the entire museum. They all have such unique offerings it's hard to say but for us it was the BEST way to spend the morning with our relatives while keeping the jet lag at bay.

  1. I went to this museum with James and his family in January and they loved it so much I bought a season pass for them. We had to drag the kids away at closing time.
